ChatGPT integration: manage your social media from a chat
VonaHub ChatGPT integration is a feature that connects your own ChatGPT account to VonaHub through the open MCP standard, so you can read brand details, draft posts and weekly plans, schedule them and prepare inbox replies right from a chat. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1: your password is never shared with the assistant, and you choose what it can access. The same connection URL works with other assistants that support MCP.
In short
- Connection URL: https://mcp.vonahub.com/mcp, added to ChatGPT as a custom connector.
- Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1; you choose the workspace, brands and permissions on the consent screen.
- Publishing and DM reply permissions are off by default; even when on, the assistant shows a preview first.
- Build a weekly plan of up to 14 posts in one go.
- Remove the connection at any time under Settings › AI assistant connections.
The problem
Sound familiar?
- Writing captions in ChatGPT and pasting them into your dashboard one by one takes forever.
- The assistant doesn't know your brand, so you explain your tone and audience in every chat.
- Giving an AI assistant access to your accounts raises the fear that it will post without you knowing.
- Answering messages means jumping back and forth between the chat and the dashboard.
How it works
In 4 steps
- 01
Add the connector
In ChatGPT, create a new custom connector and enter https://mcp.vonahub.com/mcp as the URL.
- 02
Grant access in VonaHub
Sign in with your VonaHub account. On the consent screen, pick the workspace, the brands the assistant can see and the permissions you grant. Your password is never passed to the assistant.
- 03
Ask in the chat
Try "Build this week's plan" or "Draft replies to new messages". The assistant reads your brand details and writes drafts and schedules into VonaHub.
- 04
Preview and confirm
Before publishing or replying to a DM, the assistant shows a preview; the action only runs when you confirm it with a code that is valid for 10 minutes.
Capabilities
What you can do
Knows your brand
The assistant reads your brand details in VonaHub, so you don't have to explain your tone, audience and products in every chat.
Drafts and weekly plans
From a single post to a weekly plan of up to 14 posts at once, content is written straight into VonaHub as drafts.
Scheduling
Give drafts a date and time, add them to the publishing schedule and rearrange the week from the chat.
Inbox
The assistant reads incoming messages and drafts replies. Inbox tools are available when your plan includes the inbox feature.
Image uploads
Images the assistant creates are transferred to VonaHub through a single-use upload link valid for 10 minutes; media can be up to 95 MB.
Permissions and safety
Grant only what's needed from 8 permission scopes; permissions beyond your role can't be granted. Publishing and replies have hourly limits, and connections drop when your password changes.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I post to Instagram with ChatGPT?
Yes, through VonaHub. Once ChatGPT is connected, the assistant can draft and schedule posts for the Instagram account you've connected to VonaHub. Direct publishing is off by default; if you turn it on, the assistant still shows a preview first and only publishes after you confirm.
Which ChatGPT plans support the VonaHub connector?
Adding a custom connector requires a ChatGPT plan with developer mode or connector support. Tools that make changes, such as creating drafts or scheduling, are officially available in ChatGPT on the Business, Enterprise and Edu plans; on other plans you may be limited to read-only tools.
Can ChatGPT post to my accounts without me knowing?
No. The publish and DM reply permissions are off by default and can't be granted if your role doesn't allow them. The "ask for confirmation before publishing and DM replies" setting is also on by default: the assistant shows a preview, and the action runs only with a confirmation code valid for 10 minutes.
What is MCP, and does it work with other assistants like Claude?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect securely to external tools. The VonaHub connection is built on it, so assistants that support MCP use the same URL: https://mcp.vonahub.com/mcp.
Do I have to give ChatGPT my password?
No. You sign in with OAuth 2.1 on VonaHub's own consent screen. The assistant never sees your password and only works with the workspace, brands and permissions you selected.
How do I disconnect ChatGPT from VonaHub?
Go to Settings › AI assistant connections to see every connected assistant and remove any of them instantly. Connections also drop automatically when you change your password or delete your account.
